Strata Mat

The STRATA_MAT Uncoupling membrane is for use under residential and commercial ceramic tile and stone installations, replacing traditional underlayment materials. Enhances the mechanical bond of adhesive mortar for faster drying and shorter wait times for grouting.
Available in the standard STRATA_MAT™ 1/8" (3 mm) version and STRATA_MAT XT 5/16" (8 mm) thickness. Use STRATA_MAT XT when installing typical 1/4" to 3/8" (6 to 9 mm) thick tile adjacent to 3/4" (19 mm) hardwood flooring.
n Use the appropriate mortar for the tile; polymer modified or unmodified mortar
n For Moisture Sensitive Tile and Stone, allows for installation of green marble and moisture sensitive stones with LATAPOXY® 300 thin-set mortar
Uncoupling: Patented design helps prevent delamination or cracking by accommodating the stresses experienced between the substrate and finished floor
Point Load: STRATA_MAT provides for increased thin-set mortar surface area forming an interlocking matrix to support point load distribution.
Anti-Fracture: STRATA_MAT helps prevent transmission of surface cracks in concrete substrates to the tile surface Vapor Management: Mortar hydration vents provide a controlled evacuation of any excess vapor from a concrete
slab to protect tiled surface.
